NAVITEL® releases Q2 2020 maps update for Europe

Austria

The map of Austria contains 26 738 cities and settlements, 10 792 of which include address search. The map contains 52 705 POI. The total length of the road graph is 218 510 km.

• On the Q2 2020 release map, highways including interchanges have been updated, speed limits have been clarified, direction signs have been added;
• Updated POI database throughout the country.

Albania

The map of Albania contains 2 712 cities and settlements, including 3 that are available for address search. The map contains 5 407 POI. The total length of the road graph is 19 609 km.

• Were made edits and updated the road graph, POI, and other navigation significant information in the northern part of the country.

Bosnia and Herzegovina

The map of the Bosnia and Herzegovina contains 6 642 cities and settlements, including 16 that are available for address search. The map has 8 318 Points of Interest (POI). The length of the road graph is 115 646 km.

• 31 campings throughout the country were updated and added to the map.

Cyprus

The map of Cyprus contains 540 cities and settlements, of which 227 include address search. The map contains 15 437 POI. The total length of the road graph is 18 466 km.

• The road network in Nicosia, Paphos, Limassol, Larnaca was updated.
• Camping sites throughout the country have been updated and added to the map, as well as tourist zones, resorts, hotels, attractions and new POI.

Czech Republic

The map of the Czech Republic contains 15 301 cities and settlements, of which 6 258 include address search. The map contains 118 520 POI. The total length of the road graph is 166 283 km.

On the map of Czech Republic release Q2 2020 added:

• Bypasses Bezděkov and Trstěnice - Drmoul on the road I / 21;
• A new exit from I / 37 to Doubravice (Pardubice);
• New section bypassing the city of Sokolov on the road II / 210;
• Fixed 2 exits from the D48 motorway in the city of Frýdek-Místek;
• Added about 60 speed cameras, 6 500 new POI, including 220 EV charging stations, updated 576 camping in 9 country regions.

Estonia

The map of Estonia contains 4 713 cities and settlements, of which 1 159 are available in address search. There are 43 567 POIs on the map. The total length of the road graph is 84 480 km.

• Corrected and improved the road graph in certain parts of the country.

Hungary

The map of Hungary contains 3 821 cities and settlements, of which 3 212 include address search. The map contains 34 957 POI. The total length of the road graph is 104 164 km.

On the map of Hungary release Q2 2020 added:

• Added signposts on the highway;
• 65 camping throughout the country have been updated and added to the map.

Greece

The map of Greece contains 26 189 cities and settlements, of which 813 are available in address search. There are 111 196 POIs on the map. The total length of the road graph is 401 271 km.

• The road network in Athens, Heraklion, and the coastal area of Crete has been updated.
• Camping sites throughout the country have been updated and added to the map.

Latvia

The map of Latvia contains 8 793 cities and settlements, of which 935 are available in address search. There are 19 468 POIs on the map. The total length of the road graph is 100 279 km.

• Corrected and improved the road graph in certain parts of the country.

Lithuania

The map of Lithuania contains 17 044 cities and settlements, of which 772 are available in address search. There are 29 622 POIs on the map. The total length of the road graph is 84 861 km.

• Corrected and improved the road graph in certain parts of the country.

Montenegro

The map of Montenegro includes 13 757 km of road graph, 6 366 POI, 1 683 settlements, 97 of them are provided with the detailed street network and support address search.

Changes in the map of Montenegro release Q2 2020:

Road network:

• A large-scale work of the update of the road network has been carried out throughout the country;
• The road network was updated based on the materials of field surveys conducted in February and March 2020;
• Highways and motorways, their own number designation, road junctions, roundabouts, optimal routes of access to each settlement, etc. have been updated. Updated a massive road navigation information: type, class, speed limits, prohibitions on maneuvers, and traffic on lanes at intersections;
• Optimized the transit routes calculation as well as routes within settlements.

POI:

• The railway network has been updated. The names, availability, and location of platforms and stations in all directions within the country have been verified;
• The existence and location of all settlements have been verified, updated information on the population in settlements;
• The administrative-territorial division has been updated: the boundaries of the regions have been clarified;
• Changes have been made to the display of water bodies: reservoirs, lakes, rivers, and their names have been added. River network is significantly updated;
• Objects of sociocultural purpose were added on the map: stadiums, sports complexes and venues, cemeteries, temples, and religious sites;
• The buildings in Podgorica and along the entire coast of the country (Kotor, Tivat, Budva, Petrovac, Bar, etc.) have been updated and added on the map;
• The resort areas of the Adriatic coast have been worked out in detail in terms of tourist infrastructure, recreation areas, hotels, landmarks, cafes, and restaurants.

Poland

The updated map of Poland contains 41 389 km of road graph, 252 941 POI, 95 054 settlements, 55 057 of which are provided with the detailed street network and support address search.

• A large-scale work has been carried out to improve the detailing of the road infrastructure and improve the road network in certain regions.

Slovakia

The map of Slovakia contains 3 821 cities and settlements, 812 of which include address search. The map contains 19 530 POI. The total length of the road graph is 51 721 km.

• Added new sections of the R7 expressway:
  - between Ketelec and Dunajská Lužná,
  - between Dunajská Lužná and Holice;
• Added a new section of the D4 motorway bypassing Bratislava (Ketelec-Rovinka).

Ukraine

The map of Ukraine contains 30 013 cities and settlements, of which 3 834 include address search. The map contains 131 065 POI. The total length of the road graph is 1 131 874 km.

On the Q2 2020 of Ukraine map were created a detailed street network with the street search in 56 settlements:

• Kirovograd region - Olshanka, Gaivoron, Golovanovsk, Dobrovelichkovka Kompaneyevka, Malaya Viska, Novgorodka, Novoarkhangelsk, Novomirgorod, Novoukrainka, Aleksandrovka, Onufrievka, Petrovo, Pomoshnaya, Svetlovodsk, Ustinovka;
• Luhansk region - Kipuchee, Bokovo-Khrustal'ne, Voznesenovka, Zimogorye, Zorinsk, Irmino, Lutugino, Miusinsk, Molodogvardeysk, Aleksandrovsk, Perevalsk, Petrovo-Krasnoselie, Privolye, Slavyanoserbsk, Starobelsk, Sukhodolsk;
• Khmelnytsky region - Belogorye, Vin'kovtsi, Volochisk, Derazhnya, Krasilov, Letichev, Netishin, Novaya Ushitsa, Polonnoe, Staraya Sinyava, Teofipol, Chemerovtsy, Yarmolintsy;
• Volyn region - Ivanichi, Lokachi, Lyubeshov, Manevichi, Staraya Vyzhevka, Turiysk, Shatsk;
• Zaporozhye region - Dobroslav, Zakharovka, Tarutino (in the Odessa region) and Bolshaya Belozerka.
• The names of all renamed settlements have been changed. The search is carried out both by old and new names.
• Added and constantly updated according to official data a network of traffic violations cameras, including the road sections on which TruCAM mobile radars are located.
